Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Madhya Pradesh on February 28, 2026, issued the Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy, 2026.

The following has been stated:

• The policy aims to attract investments across upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the space ecosystem, including launch vehicle systems, propulsion systems, avionics, guidance and navigation systems, telemetry, tracking and command systems, satellite communication, space situational awareness, ground stations, and space data analytics.

• The policy emphasizes infrastructure development through dedicated SpaceTech parks, incubation centres, skill development hubs, and common testing facilities. It seeks to promote R&D, encourage industry–academia collaboration, and support startups and MSMEs through incentives, capital subsidies, fiscal benefits, and simplified regulatory mechanisms. 

• Further, the policy envisions development of a digital portal for streamlined approvals and monitoring, promotion of innovation in satellite manufacturing and embedded systems, and leveraging Madhya Pradesh’s astronomical and geospatial significance (including Ujjain’s historic meridian relevance). 

• Overall, the policy provides a comprehensive framework to build a robust space technology ecosystem in the State, boost employment, enhance technological self-reliance, and contribute to India’s growing space economy.
