Industry Specific ComplianceThe Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on February 25, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Amendment to the Last date for submission of TRQ Application for various FTA’s

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Foreign Trade Policy, has extended the last date for submission of TRQ (Tariff Rate Quota) applications for FY 2026–27 from February 28, 2026 to March 15, 2026 for specified products under various FTAs/PTAs.

• The extension applies to TRQs under the following agreements:

o India–Sri Lanka FTA

o India–Mercosur Trade Agreement

o India–Mauritius CECPA

o India–Nepal Treaty

o India–UAE CEPA

• The notified TRQs cover a wide range of products including vanaspati, pepper, desiccated coconut, crude soy oil, fruits, fish products, sugar, beer, rum, apparel, vegetable fats, polymers, PVC resins, polypropylene, and copper wires, with specified quota quantities for each agreement.

• Imports under these TRQs will be governed by the procedures outlined in the respective Annexures (I to VI) of Appendix-2A of the FTP, 2023.

• All eligible importers must submit online applications for TRQ allocation on or before March 15, 2026, and all other terms and conditions under Appendix-2A of the FTP, 2023 remain applicable.
