The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on February 27, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Colocation Initiatives on the Updates in permissible number of IP’s and CaaS Mode.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The maximum permissible Interactive IPs per rack variant have been increased as follows:
o HPD Rack: from 2×60 to 2×80
o Full Rack: from 60 to 80
o Half Rack: from 30 to 40
o Quarter Rack: from 15 to 20
• These revised IP limits apply to all Colo participants, including those using racks through CaaS (Colocation as a Service) vendors.
• Under the revised CaaS framework, vendors can now apply for any rack variant (HPD, Full, Half, or Quarter) as per business requirements.
• The earlier cap on the number of members per rack under CaaS (60 for Full Rack and 30 for Half Rack) has been discontinued.
• The restriction limiting members to one contract per vendor (maximum two vendors) under CaaS has been removed, allowing members to engage multiple vendors.
• The limit of four order connectivity links per member–CaaS vendor combination has been discontinued; members can now apply for multiple order connectivities, subject to IP limits and power consumption norms.
