The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on February 27, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Declaration of Drug "Not of Standard Quality" on Testing
The following has been stated namely: -
• A batch (F510767) of Ondansetron 8 mg Tablets (Ondoc 8) manufactured by Morepen Laboratories Limited has been declared “Not of Standard Quality (NSQ)” after failing the dissolution test at S1 and S2 levels as per I.P., based on the Government Analyst’s report.
• Medical Stores are directed to immediately stop use and withdraw the affected batch from all substores, dispensaries, and patient care areas, and ensure it is not accepted in future supplies.
• The vendor must be informed to replace the stock within 15 days or refund the payment; failing which, risk purchase action and recovery of testing costs (if any) shall be initiated as per DGESIC tender terms and conditions.
