The Department of State Taxes & Excise, Government of Himachal Pradesh, on February 27, 2026, notified regarding the revised Schedule–I of the Himachal Pradesh Toll Act, 1975 (Effective from April 01, 2026).
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Governor of Himachal Pradesh has substituted Schedule–I with revised toll rates effective from April 01, 2026. The updated schedule specifies vehicle categories and corresponding toll charges for the financial year 2026–27, along with quarterly and annual rate calculations. For cars, jeeps, vans, and light motor vehicles (goods vehicles up to 7,500 kg GVW), the yearly toll is ₹170, while passenger vehicles (up to 12+1 capacity) are charged ₹130 annually.
• Light commercial vehicles, including goods vehicles exceeding 7,500 kg but less than 12,000 kg GVW, are charged ₹320 annually, and passenger vehicles exceeding 12+1 up to 32+1 capacity are charged ₹200 annually. Quarterly tolls are calculated as a multiple (30–35 times) of the per-day rate, and annual tolls are generally four times the quarterly amount or 90 times the daily rate, as specified. The revised schedule standardizes toll collection rates based on vehicle type and usage category.
