Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Coal (MoC) on February 26, 2026, issued the notification regarding the National Lignite Index with Base year 2021-22 & Representative Prices (in Rs/ton) from April 2022 to September 2025.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The National Lignite Index with Base year 2021-22, is compiled from Apr'2022 to Sept'2025 on the basis of approved methodology

• Its compiled using certified data of eight lignite sector companies.

• The index & RP for the above period is stated in the notification.
