Labour ComplianceThe Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on February 27, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers on base 2016 = 100.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The table presents the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for 88 centres across different states in India for December 2025 and January 2026, issued by the Labour Bureau under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.

• It shows centre-wise index values, indicating slight increases or decreases in CPI-IW between December 2025 and January 2026 for locations such as Guntur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.

• The All-India CPI-IW index increased from 148.2 in December 2025 to 148.6 in January 2026, reflecting a marginal rise in the overall cost of living for industrial workers
