The Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department, Govt. of Maharashtra on March 05, 2026, issued the SOPs for Providing International Employment Opportunities to Skilled Manpower in the Construction Workers and Home-based Caregiver Sectors.
The following has been stated:
• The SOPs aim to establish a structured mechanism for identifying overseas job opportunities notified internationally, selecting and training eligible candidates, and facilitating their placement abroad through authorized agencies.
• The resolution provides for coordination between government departments, skill development institutions, and recruitment agencies to ensure proper skill certification, language and pre-departure training, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• The initiative is intended to enhance global employment prospects for skilled workers from Maharashtra while ensuring transparency, worker protection, and standardized procedures in overseas recruitment.
