The Government of Maharashtra, on March 05, 2026, issued a circular regarding the adoption of TReDS Platform for payment of pending payments of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises/Contractors.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The following procedure is hereby initiated by this Government Decision for the payment of dues of interested Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises/Contractors under the schemes of State Roads (Roads and Bridges) and Major District Roads (Roads and Bridges) under the Public Works Department through the Red Receivable Electronic Discounting System (TReDS) Platform.
• At the Regional Department level, the Chief Engineer concerned at the Government level will be informed about agreeing with the designated RED Platform Provider.
• The Contractors/Entrepreneurs registered under the Red Receivable Electronic Discounting System (TReDS) will be eligible to receive payments through this system. The bank interest and platform charges for making payments through TReDS will be deducted from the payment of the MSME buyers/contractors. The said bank interest and platform charges will not be reimbursed by the Government; in this regard, the written consent of the Contractor will be taken.
