Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Goa on March 02, 2026, notified regarding the Closure of Liquor Sale in Panaji on Polling and Counting Days for the Corporation Elections, 2026.

The Government has directed that all licensed premises selling liquor within the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the City of Panaji in North Goa District shall remain closed on March 10, 11, and 13,  2026, in view of the polling and counting of votes for the General Elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji. However, establishments holding Bar and Restaurant licenses may keep their restaurants open solely for serving food, while the bar counters must remain closed and no liquor shall be served on these days. Such establishments are also required to display a notice/board clearly stating that liquor will not be served and that only food service is available.
