The Government of Tamil Nadu on February 18, 2026, issued the notification regarding the statement showing details of dearness allowance payable with effect from April 01, 2026 based on the average consumer price index of chennai city for the calendar year 2025 in respect of various scheduled employments notified under the minimum wages act 1948
The following has been stated namely: -
• This is based on the average consumer price index of Chennai city for the calendar year 2025 in respect of various scheduled employments notified under the minimum wages act 1948.
• The following industries have been stated namely: -
o Employment in Aerated Water Manufactory
o Employment in Agarbathy Manufactory
o Employment in Appalam Manufactory
o Employment in Automobile Workshop
o Employment in Auto Rickshaw & Taxis
o Employment in Bakeries and Biscuits Manufactory
o Employment in Bleaching or Dyeing or Both
o Employment in Bricks and Tiles Manufactory
o Employment in Carpentry & Blacksmithy
o Employment in Chemical Fertilizer Industry
o Employment in Chemical Industry
o Employment in Cinema Industry
o Employment in Coaching Academics
o Employment in Coconut Peeling
o Employment in Coffee Curing Works
o Employment in Coir Manufactory
o Employment in Construction, Maintenance of Roads or in Building Operations
o Employment in Construction of Andals.
o Employment in Cooking Food
