The Government of Chhattisgarh on February 27, 2026, issued the amendment in the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Chhattisgarh Rules, 1975.
The amendment introduces provisions relating to the delegation of financial and administrative powers within the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board. It specifies the authorities competent to approve travel allowances, medical reimbursement, and official tours of officers and employees, including tours outside the State.
The amendment also provides powers to sanction special pay or allowances for employees holding additional responsibilities for a limited period and lays down financial limits for sanctioning contingent expenditure and procurement of items from the local market.
