Industry Specific ComplianceThe University Grants Commission (UGC) on March 02, 2026, requested HEIs for Demand-based Mapping of SWAYAM MOOCs for the July 2026 Semester.

It has requested Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to participate in a demand-based mapping exercise for SWAYAM MOOCs for the July 2026 semester to better align online courses with university curricula. HEIs are required to review available SWAYAM courses and provide inputs on aspects such as curriculum mapping percentage, credit requirements, language preference, course level (UG/PG), NCrF level, discipline area, need for rerunning courses, and identification of new courses not currently available on SWAYAM.

Universities shall submit their inputs through the UGC SWAYAM Mapping Portal by March 10, 2026, after which the consolidated feedback will be shared with SWAYAM National Coordinators for developing, updating, or rerunning relevant courses.
