The Government of Goa, on March 02, 2026, notified regarding the Restrictions on Transportation of Liquor.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Department of Finance (Revenue and Control) has announced restrictions on liquor in the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the City of Panaji, North Goa District, due to the polling day and counting of votes for the General Election of the City of Panaji. From March 10, 11, and 13, 2026, transportation of liquor from one place to another within this area will be prohibited.
• Additionally, limits have been set on possession: a maximum of three quart bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) or other foreign liquor (excluding beer) and six bottles of 650 ml beer per person including their family, or three quart bottles of country liquor per person including their family, will be allowed within the specified area.
