The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) on February 19, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Draft Second Amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Tariff Determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulation, 2025, and the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Green Energy Open Access, Charges and Banking) Regulation, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission notified the APERC (Terms and Conditions for Tariff Determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulation, 2025 on September 12, 2025, followed by its first amendment on December 05, 2025, and earlier issued the Green Energy Open Access Regulation, 2024 on May 02, 2024, with a first amendment on December 04, 2025.
•Based on stakeholder representations, the Commission has now issued a draft second amendment to allow Renewable Hybrid Energy Projects to connect at the same or different interconnection points, instead of a single point.
•A corresponding amendment to the Green Energy Open Access Regulation has also been proposed to clarify metering, scheduling, energy settlement, deviation accounting, and applicable charges.
•The draft amendments have been placed for public consultation, and stakeholders may submit comments by March 12, 2026, after which the Commission will finalise the amendments.
