The following has been stated: -
•India’s economy is projected to grow 7.4% in FY 2025-26, remaining the fastest-growing major economy, though rising global uncertainty may affect investor confidence and capital market activity.
•Global IPO activity moderated in January 2026, with China leading in listings, India ranking second in volume, and aerospace/defense and technology sectors dominating capital raising.
•Emerging markets performed strongly, supported by a weaker US dollar, while India showed relatively weaker equity returns despite stable macroeconomic indicators.
•Union Budget 2026-27 and SEBI reforms focus on deepening corporate and municipal bond markets, increasing foreign investment participation, improving market infrastructure, and simplifying regulatory processes.
