The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 06, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Date of Establishment and the date till which the standard without the amendment shall remain in force for Indian Standards, such as Brushes, sash tools for Paints and Varnishes.
The following has been stated: -
•IS 486: 2023 Brushes, Sash Tool for Paints and Varnishes — Specification (Fifth Revision)
•IS 1578: 2018 Tobacco and Tobacco Products — Smoking Mixtures — Pipe Tobacco — Specification (Third Revision)
•IS 1769(Part 1): 2018 Cigars and Cheroots — Specification Part 1 Cigars (Third Revision)
The Date of Establishment is February 23, 2026, and the date till which the standard without the amendment shall remain in force is August 22, 2026.
