The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on February 27, 2026, issued a notification regarding the maximum profit margin fixed for Essential Commodities in Bilaspur.
The following has been stated: -
•The District Magistrate of Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, issued a notification under the Himachal Pradesh Hoarding and Profiteering Prevention Order, 1977, to regulate profit margins on essential commodities.
•The order fixes maximum wholesale and retail profit margins for items such as food grains, pulses, sugar, edible oil, milk products, fruits, vegetables, and other daily-use goods.
•Dealers are prohibited from charging margins higher than those specified in the notification.
•The order also prescribes conditions for wholesale transactions, pricing display, and issuance of purchase and sale forms in vegetable markets.
•The notification will come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette, and authorities have been directed to ensure strict compliance.
