The Government of Uttarakhand, on February 17, 2026, issued a notification allowing Shops and Establishments to Operate 24×7.
The following has been stated: -
•The Uttarakhand Labour Department issued a notification under the Uttarakhand Shops and Establishments Act, 2017.
•It clarifies that there is no restriction on the opening or closing time of shops and establishments in the state.
•However, employee working hours, rest periods, and leave must still comply with the provisions of the Act.
