The Government of Maharashtra on March 05, 2026, issued the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, 2026, further to amend the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2023.
The Government has amended the Schedule, by inserting a new Entry 10 in Part II. The amendment adds Subhadra’s Educational Society, Yerawada, Pune as the sponsoring body for establishing Subhadra's Novel Bhosale Private (SNBP) University, Pune.
The notification specifies the headquarters at Chikhali (Pimpri-Chinchwad) and recognizes its campuses at Mamurdi, Wakad, and Rahatani in Pune district under the newly established private university.
