The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 5, 2026, issued a notification establishing amendments to certain Indian Standards in accordance with Sub-rule (1) of Rule 15 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018.
The amendments cover standards including IS 548 (Part 3/Sec 1): 2021 relating to methods of sampling and testing for oils and fats using advanced instrumental methods, IS 1486:2025 on copper oxychloride technical specification, IS 15335:2003 concerning imidacloprid SL specification, and IS 15806:2018 regarding performance and characteristics recommendations for combine harvesters.
These amendments were established on March 3, 2026. The respective standards without the notified amendments will remain in force until September 2, 2026, after which the amended standards will become applicable.
