Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Communications on March 11, 2026, issued a notification regarding Parcel and E-Commerce Services.

The following has been stated: -

•The Department of Posts has launched several initiatives to strengthen parcel and e-commerce logistics across India.

•Projects like Advanced Postal Technology (APT) 2.0 and Mail and Parcel Optimization Project (MPOP) enable real-time tracking, OTP-based delivery, and standardized parcel processing.

•The department has partnered with platforms such as Amazon and Open Network for Digital Commerce to support e-commerce and exports through Dak Niryat Kendras.

•Due to these reforms, parcel revenue increased from ₹755.47 crore to ₹802.11 crore between 2023-24 and Feb 2025-26, while new security measures were introduced to prevent the transport of contraband items.
