Labour ComplianceThe Department of Labour and Skills (E), Kerala, on March 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding the proposal to Revise Minimum Wages for Private Hospital Employees.

The following has been stated: -

•The Government of Kerala issued a proposal to revise minimum wages for employees in the private hospital sector under the Code on Wages Act, 2019.

•The proposal will replace the earlier notification issued in 2018 and introduce revised pay scales for administrative, nursing, paramedical, and healthcare staff.

•Hospitals are categorized based on the number of beds or employees, with additional allowances and dearness allowance linked to CPI.

•Annual increments and service weightage for completed years of service are also included in the wage structure.

•Objections or suggestions may be submitted within two months.
