Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Tripura, on March 10, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Partial modification of guidelines for recognition / up-gradation of recognition/renewal of recognition for Privately Managed Schools.

The following has been stated: -

•The Directorate of Secondary Education, Tripura, partially modified the 1999 guidelines for recognition, up-gradation, and renewal of privately managed schools.

•The change is part of the government’s Compliance Reduction and Deregulation Phase-II initiative.

•Under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, the requirement of an Essentiality Certificate has been removed and replaced with self-certification by schools.

•For approval, authorities now require only the society/trust registration certificate, CA-audited financial statements for the last three years, and valid address proof of the school, effective immediately.
