The Government of Madhya Pradesh, on February 18, 2026, issued a notification regarding revised minimum wage rates effective under the Minimum Wages Act and payment of arrears.
The following has been stated: -
•The Madhya Pradesh High Court heard petitions filed by the M.P. Textile Mills Association challenging the revised minimum wage notification issued on March 4, 2024.
•The notification had increased minimum wages for workers in scheduled employment from April 01, 2024.
•The court initially stayed the implementation through orders dated May 8 and May 21, 2024.
•Later, orders dated February 10, 2025, and March 20, 2025, allowed the revised wages, including Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), to become effective again.
