The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on March 11, 2026, issued circular regarding the Stamp Duty Payment and Transaction Processing.
The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has issued a communication to Depository Participants (DPs) regarding updates related to stamp duty payment. This follows earlier communiques issued on October 20, 2025, October 31, 2025, and February 17, 2026, which introduced an overdue status for stamp duty in off-market and invocation transactions and later added a stamp duty payment indicator.
These changes apply to off-market and invocation transactions processed through WebCDAS and easiest, and have become effective from February 28, 2026. The updates are intended to improve monitoring and tracking of stamp duty payments associated with such transactions.
