Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on March 11, 2026, notified regarding the Initiation of an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Phthalic Anhydride” from Taiwan.

The following has been stated:

• It has initiated an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Phthalic Anhydride from Taiwan. The investigation was initiated following an application by domestic producers alleging that the product is being dumped in India at unfairly low prices. 

• Phthalic Anhydride is an important chemical used in plastics, resins, paints, and pigments. The authority will examine evidence of dumping, injury to the domestic industry, and a causal link before recommending any anti-dumping duty. 

• Interested parties have been invited to submit relevant information during the course of the investigation.
