The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Odisha has issued Guidelines for Leasing of Tourism Properties, 2026, to boost tourism infrastructure and attract private investment.
•Existing tourism properties and vacant land parcels will be leased to eligible hospitality players through a transparent online bidding process for development and management.
•Projects are categorized into large (above ₹125 crore), medium (₹10–125 crore), and small (below ₹10 crore) based on investment.
•The initiative aims to develop star-category accommodation, enhance tourism appeal, create jobs, and position Odisha as a major eco-cultural tourism hub.
