The Government of Odisha, on February 16, 2026, issued the Draft Odisha Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Odisha issued draft Odisha Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2026 under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
•The draft rules will replace earlier state rules related to dock workers and other labour laws consolidated under the Code.
•Employers must apply for establishment registration electronically within 60 days, with provisions for late fees and online verification of details.
•Registration certificates will be issued digitally within 15 days, with automatic generation if no decision is made.
•The government has invited objections and suggestions within 45 days from February 16, 2026.
