The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on March 30, 2026, issued a circular directing all affiliated schools to strictly maintain confidentiality and integrity of question papers during examinations.
The circular mandates that no question paper shall be shared, shown, or distributed to any person under any circumstances. Unused question papers must be repacked and secured immediately after the exam begins. Schools are also prohibited from sharing papers with subject teachers or retaining copies for library purposes, as official question papers will be published online after completion of examinations.
Strict accountability is imposed to ensure that the total number of question papers distributed and repacked matches the number supplied. Any violation will be treated as a serious breach, attracting disciplinary action, and Centre Superintendents are responsible for ensuring full compliance.
