CBSE notified regarding the Submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X - Second Board Examination, 2026

Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on April 15, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X - Second Board Examination, 2026.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The List of Candidates (LOC) for the Second Board Examination will be finalized after results, with submission and fee windows from April 16-22 2026 (with late fee in the final phase). 

• Three Phases of Submission 

o Phase 1: 16–20 April (fee payment) 

o Phase 2: 16–20 April (LOC + fee) 

o Phase 3: 21–22 April (LOC + fee with late fee) 

• Students who did not register in the first phase can now submit their names and pay fees. 

• Students already listed in Phase 1 must now complete fee payment. 

• Students who registered earlier but no longer wish to appear can withdraw their names. 

• Students can switch between Mathematics Standard and Basic in the Second Exam (both directions allowed). 

• Apart from Mathematics level change, no subject changes are permitted. 

• Eligible students can improve performance in up to 3 subjects (Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Languages). 

• Category-Specific Rules 

o Sports students’ names can be added 

o ER category students are not eligible 

o Compartment students can appear under compartment/improvement category 

o CWSN students continue to get existing facilities (no new registrations) 

• Instructions & Conditions 

o Absentees will retain Main Exam 2026 result as final 

o Exam will follow the same syllabus as Main Exam 2026 

o No changes allowed after LOC submission deadline 

o Schools must ensure accurate and timely submission of student data
