The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on April 30, 2026, notified regarding the Final redemption under the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme - Redemption Price for the final redemption of SGB 2018-19 Series-I due on May 04, 2026.
As per the Government of India notification on the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2018-19 (Series I), the bonds are redeemable after 8 years, making the final redemption date May 4, 2026. The redemption price is determined based on the simple average of closing gold prices (999 purity) published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association for the previous three business days. Accordingly, the final redemption price has been fixed at ₹14,901 per unit, calculated using prices from April 28, 29, and 30, 2026.
