Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on April 30, 2026, issued a Master Circular for Unique Client Code.

The following has been stated: -

•The NSE Master Circular on Unique Client Code (UCC) consolidates all prior circulars issued up to March 31, 2026, into a single comprehensive document to help members and market participants easily access and comply with regulatory requirements. 

•It emphasizes continuous and strict adherence to UCC norms and directs members to refer to specific circulars for detailed clarifications when needed. 

•The circular is organized into three sections covering an introduction to UCC, available reports, and a consolidated list of applicable circulars.

• It also clarifies that in case of any inconsistency, the original circulars will take precedence.

•Additionally, any past actions, obligations, liabilities, penalties, or proceedings under earlier guidelines will remain valid and unaffected despite their consolidation.
