Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), on April 30, 2026, issued a Master Circular on Inspection and Enforcement in line with SEBI guidelines dated April 20, 2023. This circular consolidates all relevant directions and circulars issued by the Exchange up to March 31, 2026, to provide members with a single reference framework.

The Master Circular supersedes the earlier Master Circular dated April 30, 2025, along with its corrigendum dated March 04, 2026, and replaces Chapter 9 of the Exchange’s Business Rules. It includes detailed provisions under Part A (Master Circular) and Part B (Annexures), covering inspection processes, enforcement actions, and compliance expectations.

It also clarifies that any actions taken, rights accrued, liabilities incurred, or proceedings initiated under previous circulars will remain valid and unaffected, ensuring continuity despite consolidation or rescission of earlier instructions. Members and stakeholders are advised to take note and comply accordingly.
