The Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), on April 30, 2026, issued a Master Circular on Surveillance & Investigation in alignment with SEBI circular dated April 20, 2023. The circular consolidates all relevant guidelines, directions, and communications issued by the Exchange up to March 31, 2026, providing a unified reference framework for members.
This Master Circular supersedes the earlier Master Circular dated April 29, 2025, along with its corrigendum dated March 05, 2026, and rescinds prior circulars listed in Schedule I. It lays down comprehensive provisions relating to surveillance mechanisms, investigation processes, and regulatory oversight under the Exchange framework.
It further clarifies that any actions taken, rights accrued, liabilities incurred, or proceedings initiated under earlier circulars will remain valid and unaffected, ensuring continuity despite rescission or revisions. The Master Circular replaces the existing Business Rules of the Exchange, and members along with their constituents are advised to take note and comply accordingly.
