Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on April 30, 2026, issued a circular announcing the launch of new Futures contracts effective May 04, 2026, and Options contracts effective May 05, 2026, in line with SEBI guidelines dated August 04, 2023 on commodity derivatives.

The circular specifies that Premium and Discount rates applicable for differences in grades and delivery locations for these Futures contracts are detailed in Annexures I to III. It also clarifies that variations in quality within permissible limits will continue to be governed by existing product notes and circulars, while any future contracts will have their applicable premium/discount announced prior to launch.

Additionally, the Exchange has provided details of Options on Futures contracts to be introduced, as outlined in Annexure IV. Members are advised to take note of the contract specifications and applicable pricing adjustments for effective participation and compliance.
