The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), on April 30, 2026, released a consultation paper on the regulatory framework for Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication, pursuant to a reference received from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) dated December 1, 2025 under the TRAI Act, 1997.
The consultation paper seeks stakeholder inputs on the regulatory mechanism for V2X communication and has been made available on TRAI’s official website. Stakeholders are invited to submit written comments by May 28, 2026, and counter-comments by June 11, 2026.
Submissions are to be sent preferably in electronic form to the designated TRAI official, with contact details provided for further clarification.
