Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Goa, on April 29, 2026, has rescinded its earlier notification imposing restrictions on the transport and possession of liquor in the 21-Ponda Assembly Constituency.

This decision follows the cancellation of the bye-election by the Election Commission of India (Notification dated April 8, 2026). As a result, the previous order dated April 2, 2026, under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

Consequently, all restrictions on liquor transport and possession that were to apply on May 4, 2026, in the constituency are no longer in force.
