The Central Board of Senior Education (CBSE) on April 29, 2026, has launched its Parenting Calendar for the 2026–27 academic session to strengthen collaboration between parents and schools, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Building on the success of the 2025–26 initiative, the updated calendar introduces improved engagement strategies, teacher-led activities, and psycho-social support measures to enhance students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
New additions include sections on Inclusion (to promote equitable practices for diverse learners) and Coping with Changes (to help families adapt to evolving academic demands). The Parenting Workshops component has also been expanded with a developmental approach for age-appropriate engagement.
The calendar aims to foster stronger parent–child interaction, encourage active parental involvement, and support holistic student well-being. CBSE has urged all affiliated schools and stakeholders to adopt and implement the initiative to create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment.
The parenting calendar is now available on the CBSE website. Please refer to the link.
