As per the revised timeline, the last date for electronic submission of return data has been extended to May 31, 2026 (from April 30, 2026), and the last date for uploading the signed and scanned copy of the return is extended to June 15, 2026.
The order further clarifies that returns filed within the extended timeline, provided the tax due has been paid by April 30, 2026, will be treated as filed within the prescribed due date, and no late fee will be levied.
