The Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) on April 30, 2026, has issued a Master Circular consolidating all technology-related compliance requirements applicable to its members as of March 31, 2026. This circular is in continuation of earlier circulars issued in 2023, 2024, and 2025, along with a corrigendum issued in February 2026.
The following has been stated:
• Provides a consolidated, single-point reference for all technology compliance-related circulars and directions issued by MCX.
• Rescinds earlier circulars and communications listed in Schedule I of the Master Circular.
• Clarifies that in case of inconsistency, the provisions of the relevant individual circulars will prevail over the Master Circular.
• Ensures continuity: any actions, inspections, investigations, or disciplinary proceedings initiated under earlier circulars remain valid.
• Protects existing rights, obligations, liabilities, penalties, and legal proceedings under rescinded circulars as if they were never withdrawn.
• Replaces the existing Business Rules of the Exchange with the provisions of this Master Circular.
• Members and their constituents are advised to take note and ensure compliance with the updated framework.
