The Indian Banks' Association (IBA) on May 02, 2026, notified regarding the Dearness Allowance for Workmen and Officer Employees in banks for May, June, and July, 2026 under XII BPS/9TH Joint Note dated March 08, 2024.
The following has been stated:
• The confirmed All India Average CPI for Industrial Workers (Base 2016=100) for January 2026 (148.6), February 2025 (148.5), and March 2026 (149.1) works out to a quarterly average of 148.73. This reflects an increase of 25.70 points.
• Accordingly, under Clause 13 of the 12th Bipartite Settlement dated March 8, 2024, and Clause 2(i) of the Joint Note dated March 8, 2024, Dearness Allowance payable to Workmen and Officer employees for May, June, and July, 2026 shall be 25.70% of pay, with 0.01% change in DA for every second decimal place variation in CPI over 123.03 points.
