Secretarial Compliance

The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), on April 29, 2026, issued a Master Circular for the Inspection Department, consolidating all regulatory requirements prescribed through various circulars issued up to March 31, 2026, for ease of compliance by stock brokers and trading members.

The circular supersedes the earlier Master Circular dated April 30, 2025, and provides a unified reference framework for inspection-related compliance. It also clarifies that in case of any inconsistency, the provisions of the relevant individual circulars will prevail over the Master Circular.

Further, it ensures continuity by stating that any actions taken, rights accrued, liabilities incurred, penalties imposed, or proceedings initiated under earlier or rescinded guidelines will remain valid and unaffected.
