Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on April 30, 2026, amended an older notification 08/2026-Central Excise, dated March 26, 2026, related to excise duty rates.

The following has been stated:-

•In the notification, in the Table, against serial number 1, in column (4), for the entry, the entry “Rs. 33 per litre” shall be substituted.

This notification shall come into force with effect from May 01, 2026.
