The Indian Bank’s Association (IBA) on May 02, 2026, issued a circular regarding Dearness Allowance for Workmen and Officer Employees in banks for the months of May, June, and July 2026 under XI BPS/ 8TH Joint Note dated November 11, 2020.
The following has been stated:-
•The average CPI for the quarter ending March 2026 is 9777.52, resulting in 856 DA slabs after calculation.
•This reflects an increase of 12 slabs compared to the previous quarter’s 844 slabs.
•Accordingly, the Dearness Allowance payable to bank employees for May, June, and July 2026 is fixed at 59.92% of pay.
•While calculating the allowance, decimals beyond the second place are to be ignored.
