Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on April 30, 2026, issued the Master Circular – Membership Department.

The Exchange has issued a Master Circular for the Membership Department in line with applicable rules, bye-laws, and the relevant SEBI circular dated April 20, 2023. This circular consolidates all existing guidelines, directions, and circulars issued by the Exchange up to March 31, 2026, providing members with a single comprehensive reference document.

This Master Circular supersedes the earlier MCX Master Circular dated April 30, 2025, along with its corrigendum dated March 2, 2026, and rescinds the circulars listed in its appendix. However, actions taken, rights accrued, liabilities incurred, or proceedings initiated under the earlier circulars will remain valid and unaffected.

The circular further clarifies that the new Master Circular replaces the existing Business Rules of the Exchange, while ensuring continuity of prior regulatory actions and obligations. Members are advised to refer to the updated uniform penalty structure through a separate circular dated April 17, 2026.

The notification streamlines regulatory compliance by consolidating all membership-related guidelines into a single document while maintaining continuity of past actions and legal validity.
