The Central Government has issued an amendment to Notification No. 04/2024-Customs (CVD) under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, relating to the levy of countervailing duty (CVD) on subsidized articles.

Through this amendment, the existing tariff code “7305 11 29” has been replaced with “7305 11 41” and “7305 11 49” wherever it appears in the earlier notification. This change updates the classification of the concerned goods for the purpose of applying countervailing duty.

The notification shall come into force from May 1, 2026.

The notification updates tariff codes for certain goods under the CVD framework, ensuring accurate classification and continued applicability of countervailing duty.
