Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), on April 30, 2026, issued an order fixing retail prices of specified drug formulations under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. The prices notified are exclusive of GST and apply to specific manufacturers and marketing companies for formulations such as Aceclofenac + Paracetamol + Serratiopeptidase, Acetylcysteine + Taurine, Albendazole + Ivermectin, and Atorvastatin + Ezetimibe combinations.

The order mandates that manufacturers must adhere strictly to the notified retail prices and may only add GST if actually payable. They are required to issue price lists in Form-V via the Integrated Pharmaceutical Database Management System (IPDMS) and ensure dissemination to dealers and State Drug Controllers. Retailers and dealers must prominently display the price lists, ensuring transparency and accessibility for consumers.

Non-compliance with the notified prices will attract recovery of overcharged amounts along with interest under the provisions of the DPCO, 2013 read with the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. The order also clarifies that these prices are applicable only to the specified manufacturers and supersede any prior price orders for the same formulations.
