Industry Specific ComplianceThe Revenue and Forest Department, Government of Maharashtra on April 24, 2026, issued the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Lowering of Ceiling on Holdings) (Distribution of Surplus Land) and (Amendment) Rules, 2026, further to amend the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Lowering of Ceiling on Holdings) (Distribution of Surplus Land) and (Amendment) Rules, 1975.

In rule 12, for clause (d-1) the following clause shall be substituted, namely :-

"(d-1) if the allotted land is required for agricultural purpose.".
