The School Education and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra on May 6, 2026, notified regarding the 50 hours of annual training to all the teachers in the state.
The following has been stated:
• The Government mandates that all teachers in the state must undergo a minimum of 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training annually. The objective is to enhance teaching quality, pedagogical skills, and student learning outcomes.
• The training will be organized through institutions such as SCERT, DIET, and other academic bodies, and may include both online and offline modules, subject-specific programs, and skill development initiatives.
